On Site Massage

On-site massage most conventionally takes place in a corporate setting and is used to combat problems such as work related stress and illnesses, over-use of computers, poor life/work balance etc. It can, however, also be effectively used on 'away days' from the office to enhance team building exercises.

In 2003/04 an estimated 29.8 million working days were lost through self-reported work related illness. Musculoskeletal disorders (particularly those affecting the back, neck & upper limbs) were the most commonly reported with an estimated 1.1 million people affected. An estimated 13 million working days were lost in 2003/04 through stress, depression or anxiety. The CBI's Stress and Mental Health in the Workplace Report (2005) estimated that cost of working days lost due to workplace stress was in excess of £118 billion.

Increasingly organisations are introducing stress management programmes, well-being initiatives and preventative health schemes to combat this problem. Research by the Dept of Health in 2005 showed that for every £1 spent on such programmes, there was an average return on investment of £3.73 including a 34% saving in absenteeism costs. On-site massage can form an integral part of schemes of this nature as it is an effective tool in dealing with workplace stress and illnesses and helps to maintain and motivate a healthy workforce.

On-site massage is also used to bring something a little different to events and special occassions; for instance after a fund-raising golf day to release and ease muscular tension, on exhibition stands to catch the eye, during conferences to aid relaxation ............. the possibilities are endless.

On-site massage sessions can be tailored to your precise requirements, treatment lengths can vary between 5 minutes to 30 minutes per person and are suitable for:
  • Corporate therapy
  • Team building
  • Exhibitions
  • Charity and fund-raising events
  • Conferences
  • Golf days
  • Weddings
  • Schools and Colleges
  • Sports Clubs and venues
All that is needed is a space large enough to set up a massage chair and to walk around it whilst working. Treatments take place fully clothed, no oils or creams are used and costs vary depending on the number of people, the length of treatment and the payment terms agreed. Please call or e-mail for exact prices. Other therapies are available by arrangement.
